Planning
Creating
A Well Thought-out Restaurant
Building a restaurant from the ground up, or extensively
remodeling a site that already exists can be a harrowing undertaking. Any
type of construction is costly, but if you are hesitant and unsure of what
you really are doing it can be extremely expensive and costly, both in time
and money. Once you’ve secured your location or your site, if you are going
to build a building for your restaurant, or if you are going to remodel an
existing facility you will need the services of a licensed architect
accomplished in creating restaurant facilities similar to the type you
envision. GEC is comfortable working with the architect and you to create a
workable, attractive and affordable restaurant facility. Other professionals
required are designers and talented construction people. Most of all, you
will need the services of an experienced restaurant contractor. Equipment
Specification & Construction Supervisor
Realizing that the proper construction of your
Restaurant is of primary importance, GEC has formed an alliance with
Restaurant GURU Restaurant Group of New York City to offer an equipment
package and its proper installation.
This alliance is called GEC/GURU Restaurant Group.
Also, someone must
supervise the contractor. That may be you, your architect,
GEC/GURU or someone experienced in
purchasing the following:
Therefore, with the resources available of GEC-GURU,
complimenting the efforts of your architect will help you review the
construction program so as to effect a rapid build-out of your facility at
the most favorable cost, in the shortest possible time. We will be available
to consult with you on construction activity and advise you on authorizing
costs’ payout. GEC is prepared to inspect the original agreement with your
contractor or prepare one using the contractor services of Restaurant GURU
group, to assure that it spells out in detail what triggers each stage of
payment. Also, arrangements must be included in the agreement for
"waivers of a mechanic’s liens." GEC’s policy is to allocate funds
for the unpredictable events which can occur in your construction process. See Restaurant Guru
Group for more information. "Final
Inspection"
When the construction is "complete" GEC will assist
you in making a "Final Inspection." At this time GEC will join an
inspection team to assure that the equipment functions and that the
workmanship is completed. Once everything is shipshape, you will be ready for
the building, fire and health inspectors or "task force" as they
are called, who will authorize your operating licenses. For more information, please see our inquiry page. |
Hear
what others have to say about GEC’s construction assistance:
"I
built homes, but I never had erected a restaurant. GEC guided me from day one
until the job was finally completed. We never had a hitch. Mr. Gordon had
many labor saving suggestions and novel ways to accomplish things in a
direct, low cost way. My restaurant and lounge is still operating profitably
since 1999 and still functions effectively. Layout was superb!" R.
H., Chicago, Illinois "Lloyd
took a complicated food and bar menu and created a highly organized self
serve food operation that has stood the test of time. We came in almost
$100,000 under budget without the sacrifice of any R.
